This is Bushy Park and it's beautiful. Not that my photo does it justice. Julie very kindly drove us there for the very civilised 10 am start.
Brr it was cold though and we certainly weren't used to running over frozen puddles and having to wear gloves. There were less than 200 runners altogether so a contrast to Brighton the week before. In fact I think more people had turned out for the British Military Fitness session in the park, than for the run itself.
It was a gentle, flat run and we ran together to finish in 51.58. Time for a reward - latte for me and a hot chocolate for Julie. Then we spotted the traffic, a long line of cars queuing to get in and out of the car park. Downside of living in London? Well as Julie remarked, you can see the same number of cars at home on a Sunday morning trying to get into Sheffield Park!
