Event 20 was Reigate Priory parkrun. Carl had wanted to run this for a while so he kindly drove us there. Now folks moan about Clair being challenging but Reigate is both XC with hills!
Lovely, laid back Run Director called Paul. Not many women running (I came eighth) Carl said it was because most women would be busy doing other things on a Saturday morning in December. Was this a sexist remark? No, Carl isn't like that!
Picked up a copy of Run ABC that were being given away for free. It had Susie Chan on the front page! Did I tell you she is coming to HH on 8th January?
Definitely want to go back to Reigate and maybe run a little faster. Great views.

Here we are:
Up bright (!) and early the next morning heading for the Olympic Park. Trains were avoiding London Bridge so the journey was longer than usual. It was the Mo Run Olympic park 5k and 10k. I was with Carl again (poor Carl). We were entered in the second mass wave of the 10k starting at 11am. I think the organisers were expecting greater numbers as the instructions were quite detailed, but in fact the race arrangements were straightforward. Not sure why I am telling you this - anyway, the weather was chilly and wet but we remained snug and warm in our respective santa hats. It seems wearing Christmas themed clothes means you don't pay for your photos - we'll see. Anyway, that explains my sad outfit . Met this interesting woman on the start line who told me she has entered the Jerusalem Half Marathon. Mmm that set me thinking.....
The run was good fun, nice and laid back with very few club vests around.
Sorry, I lied. Mo wasn't there to shake my hand. Poo!

The medal was great and it weighs a ton. Carl was absolutely chuffed with it.
